Craig Turner Promoted to Executive Chef at Greenspring
Craig Turner, a 13-year employee of Greenspring, has been promoted to Executive Chef at the retirement community. He officially began work in his new role on Monday, January 16.

Craig Turner, a 13-year employee of , has been promoted to Executive Chef at the retirement community.
Turner began working at Greenspring in December 1998, just a month after the community opened its doors. He started as a supervisor at Fireside, the community’s first dining room.
As Executive Chef Turner now is responsible for five dining establishments in independent living: Fireside, Woodland Skies, Potomac Café, the Bistro and the Jefferson. There are seven additional dining locations in Renaissance Gardens, the extended care neighborhood at Greenspring.

"My first night at Fireside in 1998 we served only 20 people for dinner,” Turner said. Now we serve nearly 2000 meals each day community-wide.
Turner holds a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University. He is also a certified ServSafe® trainer and a food management professional (FMP), certified by the National Restaurant Association.

“I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to serve the residents of Greenspring in this new capacity,” said Turner. “I look forward to being a part of taking their dining experience to new and exciting levels.”
