Greenspring Residents and Forestdale Students Perform “Across the Ages”
Kid Pan Alley's intergenerational residency entitled "Across the Ages" featured students from Forestdale Elementary School and seniors from Greenspring retirement community.
Kid Pan Alley's intergenerational residency entitled Across the Ages featured 3rd and 5th grade students from and residents of . The groups collaborated on two performances, where stories told by both the students and seniors were translated into song.
Kid Pan Alley Founder Paul Reisler and Kid Pan Alley Project Director Paddy Dougherty worked alongside the students and seniors as they shared stories and experiences about what it's like to grow up today and yesteryear.
This residency at Forestdale Elementary was presented with the generous support of the Forestdale Elementary School and their PTA, the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and the Springfield Forest Citizens’ Association.

ABOUT KID PAN ALLEY: Kid Pan Alley's mission is to inspire and empower children to express their innate creativity. KPA helps groups of kids write and perform original songs to give voice to some of their deepest feelings and highest values.
