Braddock Road Project to be Discussed Feb. 6 in Burke

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation, at Lake Braddock High School, is hosting a community meeting about the widening.

BURKE, VA — A community meeting hosted by the Fairfax County Department of Transportation is set for Feb. 6 at Lake Braddock High School to discuss the widening of Braddock Road, and Braddock District Supervisor John C. Cook will be on hand to field questions.

The meeting, which begins 6:30 p.m. with an open house in the school cafeteria, 9200 Burke Lake Road, will focus on the Braddock Road Multimodel Study, which affects areas in Burke, Springfield, Fairfax and Annandale.

At 7:30 p.m., the Braddock Road Task Force will have a presentation and answer questions.

Plans for improvement to the road, including roadway, bicycle and pedestrian alternatives, will be among the discussed topics.
