Burke Farmers Market Prepares To Open In 2022 With Over 30 Vendors

The farmers market, with more than 30 vendors, will return to the Burke Centre VRE Station parking lot in 2022.

BURKE, VA — Farmers market season will return to the Burke Centre VRE Station parking lot with the opening of the Burke Farmers Market on Saturday.

From April 16 through Dec. 17, the farmers market will be open 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays at 5671 Roberts Parkway in Burke.

This will be the first Fairfax County Park Authority-operated farmers market to open for the season. Nine other park authority markets will open in late April or early May.

The Burke Farmers Market will have 33 vendors, according to its website. Vendors range from farms selling produce to baked goods and prepared foods.

A new trail to the Burke Centre VRE Station, completed in March, will give area residents a more direct connection to walk or bike to the market.

SNAP is accepted at this farmers market. Animals are not permitted at the farmers market, with the exception of service animals. Masks are not required, but customers are encouraged to be respectful of others and stay home when sick.
