Burke Fisherman Reels in $500K Lottery Prize
A Burke man about to go fishing got a bigger catch than he was expecting when he won a $500K lottery prize.

BURKE, VA -- A Burke man was on his way to go fishing, but he reeled in the biggest prize before he got to the lake. Loc Doan had stopped to get supplies and scratch tickets and realized he won the top prize of $500,000.
āI had to look a few times to make sure Iām not dreaming,ā he said, according to the Virginia Lottery.
Doan, a building engineer, bought the winning Super Ticket Big Money ticket at Shoppers Food at 9274 Old Keene Mill Road in Burke. He is the first player to claim the top prize, and there are three more unclaimed top prize tickets in the game.

Doan said he might use the money to replace his 1994 van. The Shoppers store was also a winner, scoring $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
What did Doan after winning the lottery? Naturally, he headed out to go fishing.
