Burke Lake Train, Fairfax County Park Carousels Open

The amusements have new safety procedures during the pandemic, and pre-sale tickets are available.

BURKE, VA — The Burke Lake train and carousels at six Fairfax County parks are open and have advance tickets available.

The amusements were among the features closed at Fairfax County Park Authority properties during the pandemic. Reopened attractions include the miniature train at Burke Lake Park and carousels at McLean's Clemyjontri Park, Herndon's Frying Pan Carousel, Springfield's Lake Accotink Park, Reston's Lake Fairfax Park and Groveton's Lee District Park.

Safety procedures at the attractions include reduced capacity, social distancing in queues and cleanings of railings. Between each ride, there will be a 15-minute sanitation break. Visitors are encouraged to wear masks and carry wipes and hand sanitizer.

Advance tickets are available to avoid lines and reduce contact. Tickets are available on site if activities do not sell out online.

Tickets are available for the Burke Lake Train, carousels, mini golf, and boating. Jefferson District Mini Golf remains closed for construction.
