Businesses Burglarized At Shopping Centers In Burke, Springfield
An unknown suspect broke the glass front door of businesses in Burke and Springfield, according to police.
BURKE, VA — Fairfax County Police are investigating burglaries of businesses in Burke and Springfield on Tuesday, July 28.
The three Burke incidents happened at the Rolling Valley Mall shopping center on Shiplett Boulevard. Officers responded to burglary reports around 2 a.m. at Cedar Cafe and Sakura Grill, followed by a report at Hunan West at 2:10 a.m. The front glass door was broken in all three incidents. Merchandise was stolen at Cedar Cafe and Hunan West.
Two other businesses in Springfield had burglaries on the same day. Officers responded to an alarm at Yindee Thai Restaurant at Old Keene Mill Shopping Center around 2:25 a.m. A burglary at Springfield Plaza's Seoul BBQ was reported at 9:11 a.m. after someone broke in overnight. Merchandise was stolen and the front glass door was broken in both Springfield incidents.

The other notable Burke incident in Fairfax County Police's weekly report was the investigation of a suspicious device on Sunday. Around 5:18 p.m., officers were called to Burke Road and Rolling Road for a device attached to a pedestrian signal post. An investigation determined the object was safe, and it was removed.
