Community Day of Wellness for Parkinson's Research
A day of fun and inspiration for the whole family, September 21st from 1-5 pm at The Wellness Center, 5276 Lyngate Ct. Burke, VA 22015.
Come join us at The Wellness Center for our Community Day of Wellness on September 21st from 1-5pm. We have partnered with Team Fox Young Professionals of DC to bring you this fun and exciting day for the whole family, all while going to support Parkinson’s Disease research. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase when you arrive for entrance to all the exciting Wellness Day activities. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. If you can’t make it but would still like to contribute, simply donate online to the cause. We will also be holding raffles throughout the day for your chance to win several fantastic prizes! Here’s a sneak preview of some of the great activities we will offer:
- Biofeedback sessions from Peak Neuro Fitness. See how this simple yet profound therapy used for years by NASA can help you overcome anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, migraines and help you ‘Feel Great, Do Great and Be Great’!
- Fresh fruits and vegetables straight from the garden courtesy of The Farm Table
- Bounce house obstacle course! Fun for the kids and those who are kids at heart still
- Childrens game center and fresh lemonade
- Delicious food provided by various local restaurants including Spartan’s and Austin Grille
- Local businesses with exclusive offers to help you with everything from losing weight, managing your finances, care for your furry family members, dental health, pain relief, fitness and so much more
- Several of The Wellness Center therapeutic services including chair massages, yoga and pilates mini classes, and foot soaks.
- Special keynote speaker, Bruce Jon Miller, who will share the inspiring journey of his life with Parkinson’s and how his self-care through massage, pilates, yoga and nutrition has supported his quality of life.
