Cost To Gas Up In Burke Before Christmas 2017 Travel
If you're hitting the road for the holidays, there are some places you should avoid filling up your tank at around Burke.

BURKE, VA—If you're planning to drive to a holiday destination in the next few days, you'd be wise to know which areas have have the cheapest gas prices.
Filling up your tank in Burke isn't a bad option, as the lowest price is $2.19, four cents lower than the state average, according to Thursday data from GasBuddy.com. The cheapest gas can be found at Express Stop, 9550 Old Keene Mill Road.
If you want to find even lower prices, you'll have to head way from DC or fill up in Alexandria. Those traveling around Virginia can find prices below the state average in Bristow (20136), Front Royal (22630), Fredericksburg (22408), Hampton (23663) and so on.

If you're headed out of state, prices are generally higher in all areas of West Virginia ($2.41 average), while average prices are higher in North Carolina ($2.29), Maryland ($2.38) and DC ($2.68). Nationally, we're talking an average of $2.42, according to AAA.

All of that ties into what AAA is predicting to be quite the busy holiday travel season, perhaps even record breaking. From Dec. 23-Jan. 1, the travel safety organization says 107.3 million folks will hit the road, as it were, via planes trains and automobiles. That would be the highest year-end travel volume on record — and a 3.1 increase from a year ago.
A total of nearly eight million people living in Virginia, Maryland, and the Washington metro area will travel 50 miles or more from home during the Christmas/New Year's Holiday travel period. Of that number 7.2 million of those travelers will drive to their Christmas and New Year's Eve holiday destinations.
Forty-four percent of the Washington metro area's 6,131,977 residents plan to take a trip for the Christmas/New Year's holiday travel period with 91 percent of them traveling by vehicle.
