Driver Rescued From Road Over Flooded Creek In Clifton
A water rescue in Clifton was among a handful in the early morning of Wednesday.

CLIFTON, VAāA swift water rescue in Clifton was among a few fire department crews responded to early Wednesday morning.
A driver got stranded on Compton Road over Little Rocky Run. Crews made the rescue around 4:42 a.m. No serious injuries were reported.
Between 3:20-5:48 a.m., crews responded to five swift water rescues, and an additional call came at 9:51 a.m. in Vienna near the flooded Difficult Run.

The National Weather Service has extended a flood warning for Fairfax County and Fairfax City through 3 p.m. Officials remind drivers who encounter flooded roadways to "turn around, don't drown."
At approximately 4:42 am today, Rescue Squad 421, Fair Oaks, rescued a stranded driver on Compton Rd over Little Rocky Run. Crews responded to 5 swift water rescues between 3:20-5:48 am today.
