Fairfax Symphony showcases the grandeur of Mahler’s magnificent Fifth Symphony

with more than 80 musicians on stage. 

Herbert von Karajan, conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic for 35 years, has

said, “a great performance of the Fifth is a transforming experience.  The fantastic finale almost forces you to

hold your breath.”
