Giant Food Celebrates Grand Opening in Kings Park

Grocery store offers market-style produce section, PNC Bank, free Wi-Fi.

The Kings Park Giant Food at 8970 Burke Lake Road celebrated a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday with community members, local elected officials, Giant associates and shoppers.

The new 50,000-square foot store offers a market-style produce section and multiple organic produce displays. The store also features an expanded selection of natural and organic foods.

The store also offers a self-serve coffee station in a café seating area with complimentary Wi-Fi. A PNC Bank is also onsite.

This new Giant is among just a handful of supermarkets in the country (and the first store in the mid-Atlantic region) to utilize carbon dioxide refrigerants, a cutting-edge technology that significantly decreases greenhouse gas emissions.
