Greenspring Hosts World Hearing Day Expo

Greenspring, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Springfield, Va., held its first World Hearing Day Expo on March 1 in observance of the World Health Organization’s annual World Hearing Day held on March 3.

“The event was a roaring success with a huge turnout! Thank you to residents, our on-campus audiologist, Dr. Crovato, and our presenters for all their help in making this an outstanding educational event for our community,” said Community Resources Coordinator Tracey Averett.

Presenters included representatives from The Northern Virginia Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons (NVRC), Cochlear Americas, Caption Call, Oticon – hearing aid technology, and Hearing Associates of Northern Virginia.

The Greenspring’s Community Resources team sponsored the event, and it is just one of the many engaging community events organized by Greenspring throughout the year. These events form an integral part of the vibrant retirement lifestyle enjoyed by residents.
