Human Trafficking Suspect Netted In Springfield: Police
Police tracked down a suspected human trafficker that held victims against their will at a Springfield hotel.

SPRINGFIELD, VAāPolice have arrested a human trafficking suspect after tracking down victims held against their will at a Springfield hotel.
Fairfax County detectives received a tip from the National Human Trafficking Hotline last weekend about victims being held against their will. They were able to find the victimsā location: TownePlace Suites in the 6200 block of Brandon Avenue in Springfield. When detectives arrived, they found one victim in the lobby of and two other victims in the hotel.
Detectives found the suspect, Jamon Kanee Murphy, 22, of Fredericksburg, on site and arrested him. He was charged with two counts of commercial sex trafficking, two counts of abduction with a firearm, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond. Additional charges could come.
