Lake Braddock Football Opens Friday Night Against Lee

BURKE, VA — Coming off an 11-2 season, Lake Braddock opens its 2016 campaign tonight at 7 against visiting R.E. Lee-Springfield.

In last season's opener, Lake Braddock beat Lee 69-0.

That was the first of four shutouts by a combined 233-0.

The Bruins are No. 6 in the Washington Post's preseason top 20, and return their top two rushers in senior tailbacks Lamont Atkins and Ibrahim Mansary.

Lake Braddock's 2015 season ended with a 31-7 loss against Westfield in the 6A North semifinals.

According to various social media outlets, tonight's fan theme is a "whiteout."
