Lake Braddock No. 6 in Preseason Football Poll: Report
The Bruins finished 11-2 last season but return loads of talent, including running backs Lamont Atkins and Ibrahim Mansary.
BURKE, VA ā Lake Braddock is No. 6 in the Washington Post's preseason top 20 high school football rankings.
The Bruins, 11-2 last season, are the second-highest ranked Virginia team behind No. 3 Westfield.
Lake Braddock also is picked to win the Conference 7 title, ahead of contenders such as South County, West Potomac and West Springfield.

Under the Bruins' No. 6 ranking, the Post wrote: "As if senior tailbacks Lamont Atkins and Ibrahim Mansary weren't difficult enough to bring down on their own, the Bruins head into this season with a massive offensive line."
The two-way Mansary was named a first-team preseason pick at defensive back.

Lake Braddock lost at home against South County in last season's Conference 7 title game, and the teams meet Nov. 4 at South County in what could be a pivotal encounter.
