Lake Braddock Golf Tied for Fourth After First Day of Northern Region Championship
Justin Burns leads the way for Bruins with five-over 77
Lake Braddock has left itself some work on Wednesday if the team is to qualify for the state golf tournament.
The Bruins top-four golfers combined to shoot a 328 in the opening round of the Northern Region Championship Tuesday, leaving them 24 strokes behind first-place Chantilly, and 18 shots out of a spot in the state tournament. Langley's 310 has them in second place.
Justin Burns' 77 was best for the Bruins. He was followed by Michael Quinteros (79), Amanda Harrison (84) Sam Kim and Kenny Towns (88), and Mark Derner (90).

The top score for the day belonged to Langley's Will Byrne, who shot a one-over 73. Robinson's Alexandra Austin and Chantilly's Ji Soo Park are tied for second at 74.
Second-day action at Twin Lakes Golf Course begins Wednesday at noon.
