Lake Braddock Prom Queen Crowned in Hospital

You may remember the story from earlier this spring, when senior .

Then she and Justin were selected prom king and queen.  But the usual prom night plans changed course. On prom night, Shelley was in the hospital. 

According to NBC4 reporter Angie Goff, "Usually the crowning is the highlight of the big dance full of anticipation and excitement. But at Lake Braddock the moment was emotional. After Justin was crowned King he walked off stage during the commemorative slow dance. He then hailed a cab to the hospital where Shelley was being treated for bad abdominal pain. He walked into her room and presented her the sash and crown."

One thing's for sure.  Justin and Shelley have memorable stories to share.
