Lake Braddock, West Springfield Advance to Semi Finals

and play in the Northern Region Baseball Semi Finals Wednesday at Madison High School in Vienna.

Lake Braddock (22-2) faces Westfield (17-6) at 4 p.m.  In Monday's quarterfinals, Lake Braddock edged McLean, 6-5, in nine innings and Westfield beat Yorktown, 8-5.

West Springfield (16-9) challenges Langley (15-10) at 7 p.m.  West Springfield beat Liberty District champion Stone Bridge, 7-1, Monday.  “The seniors have just taken this team over and made my job easy,” West Springfield Coach Jason Olms told the Washington Post.  The Spartans won the state title in 2010.

In Northern Region Boys Soccer Semi Finals, Lake Braddock (9-8-1) faces West Springfield (8-2-2) at 7 p.m. at West Springfield.
