• Renovations begin this fall at seven Fairfax County playgrounds (ffxnow.com) — Playgrounds at Burke Lake Park will close this fall for major renovations that improve accessibility and add new amenities, with work starting in September and November. Several other Fairfax County parks are also being upgraded, and voters will weigh a new $180 million park bond this fall that could fund even more improvements across the county.
