Robinson Boys Nail Herndon in Tennis

Wednesday's win was the Ram's fifth consecutive.

The overcame both the Herndon Hornets and cold, rainy game-time conditions to record their fifth consecutive win Wednesday, keeping them atop the Concorde District.

Jacob Schreiman finished off the #4 singles, 10 - 0.

At #5, senior David Weinberg was close behind winning 10 - 2.

Amit Gupta won his #2 singles using his attacking style.

Brian Bui won easily at #4.

Austin Mathews, subbing in at #6, had a slow start but began to play more confidently as the match developed.  He won 10 - 6.

In the most interesting match, Ram's sophomore Aaron Christian and senior Josh Albertson slugged it out, with Christian taking the win.  He attacked weak serves with big returns and was on the hunt for short balls to dominate.

The Ram's concluded the singles competition 6 - 0.

Christian and Gupta teamed up to win first place in doubles.  Schreiman teamed with Weinberg and Mathews teamed with Bittner also won their doubles matches to complete the 9 - 0 sweep of the Herndon Hornets in doubles competition.
