Lunch N' Life
Are You 50 or Better? Please join us for the next Lunch Nā Life sponsored by the Shepherdās Center of Fairfax-Burke on Thursday, March 16, 2017, (12:00-2:00 p.m.) at Jubilee Christian Center,4650 Shirley Gate Rd, Fairfax. The guest speaker will be Mike McGrath, syndicated public radio gardening show, gardening editor, columnist and author. For reservations, call Bea Stephenson at 703-273-5730 by March 10th. Volunteers Needed as Drivers and Office Workers!
Shepherdās Center of Fairfax-Burke serves those 50+ and who no longer drive. Volunteer Drivers are needed for trips (Monday - Friday) to medical appointments and Companion Shopping within the Fairfax/Burke area. Office Workers are needed to answer phones in the SCFB office (Monday - Friday) of individuals requesting rides and match an available driver for each request. If you can volunteer your time, please contact the SCFB office at 703-323-4788.

Dementia Care Givers Support Group
Dementia Care Givers Support Group is sponsored by the Shepherd's Center of Fairfax-Burke will be on 2nd Tuesday at Noon - 1:30 pm at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5114 Twinbrook Road, Fairfax. This summer the dates are February 14th and March 14th. The group is for those caring for someone with dementia or interested in learning more about providing care giving to a person with a disorder that affects memory and cognition and may impact behavior and physical abilities. Adventures in Learning - Spring 2017
Join the Shepherdās Center of Fairfax every Monday for 6 weeks, April 3rd ā May 15th (8:30 AM ā 2:45 PM) start with gentle exercise, followed by speakers on topics such as health, history, community, personal development, finance, and more. Afternoon breakouts are book club, bridge, canasta, and mind games. Bring a brown bag lunch. Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5114 Twinbrook Rd. Fairfax, VA 22032 is providing space and hosting this series of classes. The cost is $30 for 6 weeks (Mondays). Fashion Show - Save the date of May 18th!
Your are cordially invited to the Shepherd's Center of Fairfax-Burke Luncheon and Fashion Show on May 18th (12:00-2:00 p.m.) at Church of the Good Shepherd, 9350 Braddock Road, Burke. Soft Surroundings from Fairfax Corner Shopping Center is providing the clothes to be worn by our own Volunteers.
