Suspect Ties Up Employee in Armed Robbery of Verizon Store in Springfield
The employee was not injured; the suspect stole numerous cell phones.
An employee's hands were tied Thursday during a hold-up of the Verizon Wireless store at Springfield Plaza, according to Fairfax County Police.
The armed robbery took place at 6300 Springfield Plaza on Thursday, according to police. Police did not say what time the incident took place.
A 20-year-old employee of the Verizon Wireless store was robbed by a man after the store closed. The suspect bound the victim’s hands and took numerous cell phones. The victim did not require medical treatment.
The suspect was described as black, 20 to 25 years old. He was about 5 feet 7 inches tall with black hair.
