With just three months to go until Fairfax CASA’s Run for the Children 8K Race & 3K Run/Walk, the program is busy recruiting school teams to show their school pride on race day. Three schools -- Liberty Middle School, Frost Middle School and Longfellow Middle School – have already begun to form their teams to compete in the race or volunteer on race day.
Students on school teams benefit from the camaraderie of team building, the community service hours, and the athletic boost of preparing for the race. The Run for the Children gives children and youth a first- hand opportunity to learn about helping other children in need.
