Village Fair at Greenspring Showcases Over 80 Resident Clubs

On Thursday, June 19, Greenspring retirement community hosted a Village Fair, which showcased over 80 of the more than 225 resident-run and resident-driven clubs and groups on campus.

The community resources staff at the community assisted with coordinating the event.  The mission of the community resources team at Greenspring is to foster and facilitate a dynamic resident-driven activities program.  The team empowers and encourages residents to use their talents, gifts, and energy to bring life and fullness to the Greenspring community.  At Greenspring, residents initiate and implement regular activities and special events that enhance the overall quality of life in the community.  The "resident-driven" philosophy is the foundation of the rich activities program at Greenspring.

Some of the groups thriving at Greenspring include the Greenspring Players drama club, the Wii virtual bowling league, the yacht club, the Villager newspaper group, the pickle ball club, the iPad user forum group, the Tillagers garden club, the Dogs of Greenspring group, and a variety of service groups representing each branch of the military.

Please enjoy the photos here from the Village Fair!
