Winter Weather Guide Arrives From Fairfax County

BURKE, VA — With cold weather having rudely smacked us squarely in the face this week, and with even lower temperatures expected next week, now's the time one might want to think about the coming winter in both practical and preventive parameters.

As much as it can, Fairfax County has tried to answer those and many other questions with its "Your Guide to Winter Weather."

Aside from the obvious, it also includes matters such as commuter alerts, the school-closing drama and other matters that seemed so far away just a few weeks ago.
