Wish Upon a Sky Full of Stars at Burke Lake Park
Information courtesy of Fairfax County.

If you canāt tell Ursa Major from Ursa Minor or wonder where Orion and the Twins are hanging out these days, let a Park Authority naturalist be your astronomical guide.
Come to Burke Lake Park on Saturday, January 9, 2016, for an evening of stargazing and marshmallow roasting from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Take advantage of the dark skies within the park and enjoy a stroll along the shores of the lake as you learn about the constellations, hear their stories and discover other features of the night sky. An astronomical naturalist will identify the stars for you. Then, you can take a closer look through a telescope to see what your naked eye has been missing.
The program wraps up with a cozy campfire. Sāmores ingredients will be provided, but feel free to take advantage of the toasty embers and bring along your own hot dogs to roast.
