Woman Found Murdered in Burke; Case Likely Related to Murder in Springfield: Police
The woman was found in a backyard of a residence, and Fairfax County Police believe it ties in to a murder a couple of miles away Thursday.
BURKE, VA ā A woman was found dead Friday morning in the 6500 block of Cordwood Court, and Fairfax County Police believe it may be related to a murder of a man Thursday night a couple of miles away in Springfield.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 8:30 a.m. when a homeowner said he found an unknown, seemingly lifeless woman leaning against a tree in his backyard.
She had injuries to her upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

In the other incident, a 22-year-old man was found dead at his home, and police ruled it a homicide Friday.
