$1M Virginia Lottery Ticket Redeemed In Centreville
A Manassas man won $1 million from the Virginia Lottery after buying a Bankroll ticket at the Giant Food in Centreville.

CENTREVILLE, VA — Edgar Henriquez scratched the ticket he had bought at the Giant Food, 14125 St. Germain Drive. As the Bankroll game ticket became clearer, the Manassas man knew he at least had won something. "I thought it was maybe $1,000," he said.
Wrong, Edgar. When he was done scratching, he had won a million bucks. Given the choice between a one-time cash option of $561, 798 before taxes or the full $1 million over 30 years, he chose the former. Henriquez, who works in home remodeling, doesn't yet know what he'll do with the winnings. His chances of claiming the top price were 1 in 1,305,600. It was the third and final top prize claimed, so the game is now closed.
