Bull Run Campground Holds Halloween Events This Weekend
Halloween theme weekend for campers.

If you love camping and Halloween, then Bull Run Campground might be the place for you this weekend. Temperatures this weekend will be cold, with highs around 50 degrees, but there will be plenty of sunshine.
Bull Run Regional Park, located near Interstate 66, is a getaway that’s not far from Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia attractions. Bull Run Park is only 27 miles from Washington, D.C. and 15 miles from the Vienna Metro Center Station. Open year-round, Bull Run Regional Park’s family campground features 144 shaded sites.
The variety of campsites available at Bull Run Campground are RV sites with electric only service, RV sites with full-service (which includes sewer, water and electric), tent sites, rustic cabins and group camping areas. All camp sites have a charcoal grill, fire ring and picnic table. There are two bathhouses in the campground that offer hot showers, sinks, toilets and laundry facilities.

The camp store sells camping supplies, snacks, ice and firewood and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Disc golf, a playground, hiking trails and an outdoor water park are all within walking distance from the campground.

Here’s what’s going on at Bull Run Campground this weekend:
- Friday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m. – Meet at the camp store and join us for a haunted hike to our local graveyard and back, then join us for s’mores at our communal fire pit. This is an easy 1⁄2-mile hike – bring a flashlight.
- Saturday, Nov. 1, from noon to 2 p.m. - Trick or Treat throughout the campground. Sites that are giving out treats will have notices up.
- Saturday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. - Halloween Party at the campground picnic shelter. Join us for refreshments and crafts. Come in costume and you might win a prize for scariest or most creative costume!
- Scariest campsite competition – decorate your campsite and you might win the grand prize of a free night of camping. Winner will be announced at the Halloween party!
- Sunday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. - Halloween Bingo! Come play a game of bingo at the campground picnic shelter and win a prize!
