Centerville Man With Machete Ambushes Man In Annandale: Cops

A Centreville man was arrested Thursday after threatening a man with a machete in Annandale, according to Fairfax County Police.

ANNANDALE, VA — A Centreville man was arrested Thursday after threatening a man with a machete in the 7900 block of Heritage Drive, according to Fairfax County Police. Enoc Herrera-Chan, 25, was charged with attempted robbery, attempted malicious wounding and being drunk in public.

Shortly before 6 p.m., police say Herrera-Chan approached a man and demanded money. When the man refused, Herrera-Chan began waving a machete before leaving the scene. Police soon found him nearby, and he was taken to jail. According to court records, he will appear in general district court during February and March.
