Centreville Woman Dies From Injuries In Driveway: Police

An SUV rolled forward after a Centreville woman exited the vehicle and pinned her between the garage and the SUV, police said.

CENTREVILLE, VA — A 41-year-old Centreville woman died as a result of injuries from an incident in the driveway of her home in the 6100 block of Asher Court. Officers responded to the scene shortly after 10 a.m. on April 10 to find Jaehee Pak unresponsive in her driveway, the Fairfax County Police Department said Thursday.

Fire and Rescue personnel treated her at the scene and she was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. Pak died from her injuries on Wednesday.

Detectives from the FCPD's Crash Reconstruction Unit have preliminarily determined that Pak parked in her driveway and stepped out of her SUV. The SUV rolled forward and pinned her between the garage and the SUV.

A family member from inside the home was able to access the SUV to move it and free her. Detectives do not suspect foul play, the FCPD said.
