The Alliance Theatre Showcase Auditions

The Alliance Theatre is pleased to announce upcoming auditions for our inaugral Showcase. The Showcase will comprise a cabaret style show with music, dance, skit and ensemble peformance opportunities for kids from Age: 8 to Seniors in High School!

Please complete the on-line audition registration form on http://thealliancetheatre.org/Auditions/tabid/329/Default.aspx. Walk-in auditions are welcome but we strongly recommend registering online to ensure you have an audition slot.

Here are some key facts to get you started:

Performances: Fri., 5/4 @ 7:30pm and Sat., 5/5 @ 2pm & 7:30pm

Auditions will be held at Mountain View on the following dates:

Weds., 2/29 @ 6-9pm

Thurs., 3/1 @ 6-9pm

Fri., 3/2 @ 6-9pm

Audition Requirements:

• Come prepared to perform your song, dance, skit or instrumental piece
• Auditioners may perform 1 or 2 selections.  Any combinations of acts is allowed (e.g. 2 songs, 1 song & 1 act, 1 dance & 1 skit, etc.)
• Costumes and Props to be used during performance are required at auditions 
• Bring either iPod w/music, CD or sheet music (Note: Piano accompaniment available)
• Acts: Individuals, duet or group numbers welcome
• Each Actor must bring their Conflict Calendar and completed Audition Form
• Head Shot (school photos are fine) 
• Bio of all performers required at time of audition

The Alliance Theatre's Showcase Production team plans to cast several ensemble pieces (not as a soloist) from performers auditioning for the Showcase. For planning purposes, rehearsals are likely to be 1 or 2 evenings during the week until 2 weeks before the show and then its planned for every weekday evening until opening night. The Production Team require conflict calendars to help develop a rehearsal schedule for ensemble groups and other acts!
