Free Respite Care Available for Family Caregivers at Conference

Griswold Home Care NoVA West will provide complimentary respite care for families attending the 2018 “Navigating the Caregiving Journey” conference in Woodbridge on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Navigating the Caregiving Journey, presented by Strategic Management Partners is an annual event to empower families and individuals with resources and knowledge that support the challenges of caregiving. The conference will feature educational sessions throughout the day as well as an exhibit hall where attendees will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with representatives from many local organizations, including Griswold Home Care, about products and services for family caregivers and those in their care.

“By providing respite care, we’re supporting those family members who otherwise may not be able to attend due to their caregiving responsibilities,” said Karen Vassar, director of Griswold Home Care NoVA West. “When you know that your loved one is in good hands, you’re better positioned to benefit from all that’s available at the conference.”

Respite care will be provided on site in a space especially appointed for this purpose. Navigating the Caregiving Journey will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at All Saints Church, 14851 Gideon Drive, Woodbridge, Virginia.
