Man Fatally Stabbed After Fight In Centreville: Report

A fight led to the fatal stabbing, and police are determining whether to charge the alleged stabber.

CENTREVILLE, VA — A fight led to the death of a 24-year-old man in Centreville Thursday night, according to reports. Justin Underwood, 24, was fatally stabbed, according to reports.

Underwood was in a townhouse in the 14600 block of Stone Crossing Court, WTOP reported, when he and a resident there got into a fight around 8:30 p.m. The two men knew each other.

The fight ended with the resident stabbing Underwood to death, police say. Fairfax County police say he sustained upper body trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to WTOP.

The man who stabbed Underwood was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His name has not been released.

WTOP reported detectives are working with the Commonwealth Attorney to determine whether the man will face charges. Fairfax County police confirmed that he is not being detained.
