Shooting In Centreville Area Wounds Man: Police
Police found the victim near Lee Highway but believe the shooting happened in another area.

CENTREVILLE, VA—Fairfax County Police are investigating a shooting in Centreville Tuesday night.
Officers initially responded to a report of a man who'd been shot, according to a tweet sent at 7:15 p.m. After further investigation, police say the shooting likely happened in a parking lot at Old Centreville Road and Flamborough Road near Virginia State Route 28.
Police found the victim with an upper body gunshot wound at Paddington Lane and Bolton Road near Lee Highway after calling 911 before 6 p.m. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and has non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect and victim likely know each other, police say.
Police continue to interview potential witnesses. The car the victim was found in is being processed for as evidence.
