The event is appropriate for children ages 3 and up accompanied by an adult and features excerpts from the performance by the cast of this year’s Mia Saunders Ballet Nutcracker production, light tea party snacks and treats, fun games including a drawing for the Sugar Plum Fairy’s pointe shoes as well as a very special appearance by the Sugar Plum Fairy herself, who will read to the children and pose for photos with each child. Each holiday season the Mia Saunders School of Ballet proudly continues its twenty four year tradition of performing as a gift for others. The students share their talents with the community at the Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party and in the full student production of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker and their parents contribute their time and talents towards the events, making these family and community events.
“Each year, I am so proud of my dancers, who are so willing to share their talents with the next generation of ballet dancers.” says Saunders, “Seeing my students performing as a gift for the younger dancers is a very rewarding experience.”
