Police: Bear Hit By Vehicle on Route 28
Accident occurred in Centreville, Fairfax County Police Department says via Twitter.

The Fairfax County Police Department is cautioning the public to be on the lookout for wildlife this summer, especially on local roads.
On Twitter Sunday night, the department said a vehicle struck a bear on Saturday night on Route 28 in Centreville. The department sent out the following tweet:
“Be alert for wildlife when driving. A vehicle on Rt. 28 near Fort Dr. last night struck a bear in the road. The bear ran away & wasn’t found”
