Bob received the SYA Executive Board of Directors Award in 2014 for his outstanding service to SYA.

Bob has been involved with SYAĀ since moving to the area in 1998. Bob's volunteer work in SYAĀ Little League, SYA Mets, and SYA Diamond SportsĀ began with coaching his 3 kids inĀ baseball and softball. Through the years,Ā Bob's focus has been toĀ support and help grow the sports of baseball and softball at various levels, both house and travel.Ā Currently, BobĀ serves as the Commissioner of SYA Diamond Sports, which includes Babe Ruth, Little League, Mets Travel Baseball, and Xplosion Travel Softball programs. He'sĀ been a member of the Little League Board of Directors since the early 2000s.Ā Bob'sĀ been involvedĀ with Little League at the national, regional, and district levels, workingĀ to improveĀ theĀ organizational aspects and growth of the games.Ā

In addition to working withĀ SYA, Bob has alsoĀ served asĀ an assistant baseball coach at Thomas Jefferson and Westfield high schools,Ā and forĀ independent travel baseball teams and organizations. His current mission isĀ to bring back American Legion Baseball to Centreville Post 1995.Ā Having grown up in a baseball family and getting the opportunity to play with hisĀ dad,Ā Bob's loveĀ for the game grewĀ from his playing days inĀ high schoolĀ and collegeĀ to adultĀ baseballĀ on the fieldsĀ ofĀ New Jersey.Ā Bob'sĀ passion for baseballĀ has been a source of enjoyment, excitement, and pride for hisĀ wife andĀ family for many years.Ā
