Westfield HS Theatre Presents.....The 39 Steps

The 39 Steps is a melodrama by Patrick Barlow, based on the novel by John Buchan and the 1935 movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The story follows Richard Hannay as he races to stop a mysterious spy ring called The 39 Steps. Along the way, he meets three women: Annabella, an enigmatic secret agent; Margaret, a simple farm wife; and Pamela, an attractive bachelorette. Hilarity ensues as Hannay entangles himself with these women, the police, a few salesmen, a professor, and more. Directed by Susan McCormack-Pike, this serious, yet comedic spy story shows that one man’s adventure can lead to love, trouble, and even laughter.
