Congressman Don Beyer formally recognized Capitol Police and Firefighters, including those from Arlington County, as part of the Congressional Record and was also on hand to offer thanks to Arlington County personnel who responded to the Capitol on January 6.
“These brave men and women risked their lives in their protection of those trapped in the Capitol,” said Beyer. “January 6, 2021 will be remembered as one of the darkest days of our democracy, yet that day will also commemorate the heroism and selfless bravery of the police, firefighters, and other law enforcement officers.”
