REPORTS

SEXUAL BATTERY, 2021-07230022, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 1:14 a.m. on July 23, police were dispatched to the report of a disorderly subject. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the individual and determined that he had been the victim of a sexual battery. The investigation revealed that the victim was inside the establishment conversing with the unknown male suspect when he allegedly began to touch him inappropriately. The victim confronted the suspect and a verbal altercation ensued. After a short period of time, the verbal altercation appeared to be turning physical and both parties were asked to leave the establishment and an employee called 911. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with white hair, approximately 6’3” tall, possibly in his mid-40’s, wearing a green shirt. The investigation is ongoing.

BRANDISHING, 2021-07230098, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 10:55 a.m. on July 23, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered the business and requested services. When the employee asked for his information, he became irate and was escorted out of the building by security. A short time later, the suspect walked by the store and lifted up his shirt to expose what appeared to be a handgun and threatened to shoot the employee before leaving the area. Arriving officers canvassed the surrounding area with negative results. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2021-07240235, 4000 block of Fairfax Drive. At approximately 6:41 p.m. on July 24, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was walking in the parking garage when Suspect One grabbed her car keys from her hand and ran towards her vehicle. When she began to follow him, Suspect Two stepped in front and cornered her. Suspect Two then stole her cell phone and the two suspects fled the scene, accompanied by a female. Suspect One is described as a Black male with short dreadlocks, wearing a black sweatshirt, black jeans, and sneakers. Suspect Two is described as a tall Black male with dreadlocks. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2021-07220107, 2000 block of 2nd Street S. At approximately 11:41 a.m. on July 22, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim observed the unknown male suspect walking away from the building with his red and black tool bag containing equipment. The victim confronted the suspect, who dropped the tool bag and fled the scene on foot. The investigation revealed that the suspect had forced entry into the victim’s storage unit in the basement of the building and stole the tool bag. No other items were reported stolen. The suspect is described as a skinny Black male, approximately 6’0” tall and in his early 60’s. He was wearing a baseball hat, a blue face mask, gray shirt, blue jeans and carrying a brown computer bag at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2021-07240128, 2600 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 10:09 a.m. on July 24, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that an employee returned to the business and discovered that the rear office window had been shattered with a large object. The investigation revealed that at approximately 3:28 a.m., the unknown suspect forced entry into the business through the window and began rummaging through several offices, taking keys and documentation. The suspect then exited the business and fled the scene in a vehicle belonging to the business. The vehicle is described as a black 2013 Ford Fusion. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
