ABDUCTION, 2021-08310101, 3800 block of Fairfax Drive. At approximately 12:24 p.m. on August 31, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Based upon information provided by dispatch, officers observed the suspect in the area and attempted to stop him, however he fled on foot and a brief foot pursuit ensued. The suspect stopped in the area of Washington Boulevard and N. Monroe Street and turned to face officers, at which point he was taken into custody without incident. The suspect sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The investigation determined that the victim was inside a business when the suspect approached and attempted to engage her in conversation. The suspect then left the business, but remained seated outside. When the victim left the business, the suspect followed her into a neighboring building and onto an elevator, where he again attempted to engage her in conversation, advanced towards her, grabbed her waist and touched her buttocks. The victim attempted to step away but the suspect prevented her from exiting the elevator.  Anthony Jeffers, 36, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with Abduction and Sexual Battery.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2021-08310032, 800 block of S. Frederick Street. At approximately 6:23 a.m. on August 31, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her residence when the known suspect began kicking the door attempting to gain entry. The victim attempted to brace the door when the suspect forcibly opened it, injuring the victim. Another individual inside the residence confronted the suspect, who fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries.  Warrants were obtained for Malicious Wounding and Unlawful Entry for the suspect.

MISSILE INTO OCCUPIED DWELLING, 2021-08310187, 3400 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 5:38 p.m. on August 31, police were dispatched to the report of a destruction of property. Upon arrival, it was determined that multiple windows on bus shelters in the area and the window to an occupied business were struck by unknown projectiles, causing them to shatter. During the course of the investigation, an individual approached officers and stated that at approximately 5:20 p.m., their car windshield was also shattered by an unknown projectile. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2021-08310132, 200 block of N. Thomas Street. At approximately 2:04 p.m. on August 31, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was walking in the area when the unknown male suspect walked towards her and pulled down his pants to expose his genitals. The victim then left the area to seek assistance and the suspect fled prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a light-skinned Black male, approximately 5’6” to 5’10” tall with a medium build. He was wearing a khaki hat, blue shirt and yellow pants at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
