Arlington County Publishes Crime Report For July 12

REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2021-07110187, 1400 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 6:55 p.m. on July 11, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered a business and began to allegedly conceal items. As the suspect was leaving the business, she was confronted by loss prevention. A struggle ensued before the suspect left the scene on foot. She was located by responding officers and taken into custody. During a search or her person and purse incident to arrest, officers located a device typically used to removed security sensors. Crystal Sison, 25, of Fort Washington, MD, was arrested and charged with Robbery and Possession of Burglarious Tools.

ROBBERY, 2021-07100250, 2300 block of 25th Street S. At approximately 10:30 p.m. on July 10, police were dispatched to the report of a dispute between known individuals. Upon arrival, it was determined that the juvenile male suspect demanded money from the victim and when she refused, produced a knife and threatened her. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. On July 11 the suspect was arrested and charged with Robbery.

ARMED ROBBERY, 2021-07110248, 2100 block of N. Columbus Street. At approximately 11:33 p.m. on July 11, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that as the victim was entering her office space, the suspect approached from behind and brandished a firearm towards her. He forced the victim to remove her jewelry before entering her office space. At that time, the victim was able to run from the scene. It was later determined that the suspect rummaged through the space and stole cash. Responding officers canvassed the area with negative results. The suspect is described as a male wearing all black. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2021-07100179, 4800 block of Old Dominion Drive. At approximately 4:17 p.m. on July 10, for the report of an attempted burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that the witness arrived at the under construction residence to find an unknown vehicle in the driveway. A male subject then entered the vehicle and drove away. The subject is described as a White male in his late 30’s, 6’0” tall and weighing 200 lbs. He had short, blonde hair and was wearing a t-shirt and khaki pants. He left the scene in a black Toyota Tacoma. The investigation is ongoing.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2021-07090074, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 9:44 a.m. on July 9, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that security personnel received a call about a male subject masturbating inside a business. Security personnel responded to the area, observed the suspect masturbating and confronted him. The suspect left the area on foot and was detained by the responding officer in the 1300 block of S. Fair Street. Amir Haynes Bey, 32, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Public Masturbation.

INDECENT EXPOSURE (late), 2021-07090186, 3400 block of 11th Street N. At approximately 6:45 p.m. on July 9, police followed up with the victim regarding the late report of an indecent exposure. The victim advised that at approximately 4:00 a.m., she was walking in the area when she observed the male suspect who was possibly exposing himself. She returned to her residence and the suspect followed and rang her doorbell. When another resident went to answer the door, the suspect left the scene. The suspect is described as a White male in his late 30’s to early 40’s, tall with short dark blonde or light brown hair. The investigation is ongoing.
