Arlington Parking Meter Rates Increase Friday
County Board approved 25-cent hike in April.
Beginning Friday, Arlington County parking meter rates will increase by 25 cents per hour.
Long-term meter rates will increase from 75 cents to $1, according to a county press release. Short-term meter rates -- those where parking is restricted to four hours or less -- will increase from $1 to $1.25.
The Arlington County Board approved the rate hike in April.

The rate increases "do not affect a on-going project to lower meter rates in select areas," the release states.
