Arlington Police, Sheriff's Office to Conduct Friday Night DUI Checkpoint

Officers will stop all cars that enter the checkpoint and ask for the driver's license.

Arlington County law enforcement will conduct a sobriety checkpoint tonight as part of the "Drive Sober or Get PUlled Over" campaign.

Police, assisted by the sheriff's office, will be in a single location in Arlington County and stop every vehicle that enters the checkpoint and ask to see the driver's license. Anyone suspected of being intoxicated will be directed to an area off of the roadway.

The campaign is designed to combine high-visibility enforcement with increased public awareness, according to a news release.
