Arlington to Hold Special Election Tuesday for County Board Seat
Polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
A Special Election to fill a vacant Arlington County Board seat will be held Tuesday. All polling places are open from 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Voters will get a chance to elect a new county board member for the seat vacated by Chris Zimmerman, from among the following candidates (links will take you to more information about the candidates):
- Alan E. Howze (Democrat)
- Stephen W.C. Holbrook (Independent)
- Janet H. Murphy (Independent Green)
- John E. Vihstadt (Independent)
The money race is particularly close between Democrat Howze and Vihstadt, a Republican running as an Independent. Howze has raised $109,000 and Vihstadt has raised $95,000, according to the Virginia Public Access Project.
