Hi, I'm Shelby! I’m a local mediator who helps neighbors resolve family, relationship, and workplace conflicts in a calm, structured way. Through my small business, Rogers Resolution Services, I offer mediation and conflict-resolution support tailored to your unique needs and help guide people through difficult conversations. I work primarily with co-parents, partners, relatives, roommates, and teams who need help talking through decisions, routines, boundaries, or recurring disagreements. I also support workplaces and community groups facing communication challenges or breakdowns. My role is neutral. I don’t give legal advice or take sides. I facilitate conversations, de-escalate tense situations, and help people reach practical and maintainable agreements they can feel comfortable with. Nathan’s Cancer Slayers, a local Arlington fundraising team under Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, invites the community to Cocktails for a Cause — An Amalfi Coast Evening on Sunday, June 14 in Georgetown. ✨🍸
This inaugural silent auction will bring together friends, neighbors, and community supporters for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a fun silent auction — all raising funds for childhood cancer research in honor of Nathan Fleming, an Arlington student who passed away from rhabdomyosarcoma in 2019, just one week after turning 18.
Nathan was an Arlington student and alum of Jamestown Elementary, Swanson Middle School, and Washington-Liberty High School. His mom, Michele Fleming, formed Nathan’s Cancer Slayers under Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in 2020, and the team has raised more than $775,000 to advance childhood cancer research.
This year’s auction will support promising research led by Dr. Valter Longo at USC and Dr. JinSeok Park at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, with the goal of moving this work toward clinical trials for children within the next 2-3 years.
Guests can attend the event in person, browse and bid online from anywhere, or make a donation directly. Auction items include luxury getaways, VIP experiences, local packages, handcrafted items, and more.
Every ticket, donation, and auction bid will be matched 1:1 by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation up to $30,000, doubling the impact of community support.&nbsp;💪

Umar Khan is a Baltimore comedian who has been performing for the past 15 years. He’s become a regular at clubs, colleges, independent shows, and theaters in the around the country. He has three comedy specials on YouTube. His latest special is “Let’s Talk About It!,” A fully improvised crowd work special. He released “Who Cares” in 2021 and “Umar Khan: Live in Baltimore” in 2018.
He has performed at The DC Improv, Warner Theater in DC, 9:30Club, The Historic Sixth &amp; I Synagogue, Hilarities in Cleveland, Punchline Philly, and Philly Helium. In 2016 he was invited to be on Tig Nataro’s Bentzen Ball in DC at the Kennedy Center. Umar has had the opportunity to feature for great comedians like Tim Dillon, Mark Normand, Joe List, The Daily Show’s Hasan Minhaj, Todd Barry, 30 Rock’s Judah Friedlander, Greg Fitzsimmons, Kyle Kinane, and Hari Kondabolu.

Mike Brown, also known as OlmikeB, is a comedian from Norfolk, Virginia whose passion for comedy began in his hometown and was honed over time. After serving for nine years in the United States Army, where he earned multiple awards for his service, Mike transitioned to comedy, feeling it was time to follow his true calling.
Mike Brown began his comedy journey by hosting shows across the Washington, DC metropolitan area where his charismatic and approachable personality quickly made him a crowd favorite. His distinctive style, which blends energy with earthy humor, caught the attention of bigger names in comedy, leading to opportunities to open for comedians like Troy Bond, Jermaine Fowler, Dareen Fleet Lil Rel Howery snd Brandi Denise.
OlmikeB’s comedic presence has taken him to renowned venues like the Arlington Drafthouse, DC Comedy Loft, and the iconic DC Improv, where he clinched victory in the Spring 20.1 Improv Kumite, further solidifying his place in the comedy scene.
MONICA DALY
Monica Daly is an Army veteran who grew up in Northern Virginia. She started doing comedy with the Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) and is now a comedy instructor. Monica competed in the finale for America’s Funniest Veteran and Military Spouse in Las Vegas. She has performed at StandUpNY, Helium Comedy Club, and the DC Improv.

He may look and sound gruff but he is a big bear of a sweetheart. You’ll love his take on his own sordid history and observations in general. He has opened for and performed with some great folks like Patton Oswalt, Rory Scovel, Bobcat Goldthwait, Annie Lederman, David Koechner, Kelsey Cook, Annie Lederman, Alonso Bodden and more while featuring and headlining some great venues like the DC Improv (DC), Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (VA), Magooby’s Joke House (MD), Nicks Comedy Stop (Boston), Governors (NY), Church Of Satire (PA) and The Drafthouse Comedy Theater (DC). He is also in recovery and is in demand for 12 step conventions all over. You may recognize Pete from his numerous appearances on Investigation Discovery shows or from his episode on the classic Americas Most Wanted. He always plays a cop because, well, look at him. Pete can also be seen as a contributor on local panel shows “Like It Or Not” and “The Final 5”, both on Fox 5 DC, offering up humorous takes on the days events.
