Hi, I'm Shelby! I’m a local mediator who helps neighbors resolve family, relationship, and workplace conflicts in a calm, structured way. Through my small business, Rogers Resolution Services, I offer mediation and conflict-resolution support tailored to your unique needs and help guide people through difficult conversations. I work primarily with co-parents, partners, relatives, roommates, and teams who need help talking through decisions, routines, boundaries, or recurring disagreements. I also support workplaces and community groups facing communication challenges or breakdowns. My role is neutral. I don’t give legal advice or take sides. I facilitate conversations, de-escalate tense situations, and help people reach practical and maintainable agreements they can feel comfortable with. Visiting from Los Angeles, John Conroy, brings an everyman's attitude to smart, sharply written material that runs the gamut from shrewd observations to social satire John made a rapid transition from opener to headliner, playing hundreds of shows each year and touring the top clubs throughout the country and working with the biggest names in the business. Conroy is a jovial iconoclast whose good-humored but aggressive act makes a lasting impression.
NATHAN LUFT
Nathan Luft is a D.C. based comic who has performed at the DC Improv, Hotbed Comedy Club, and the 2023 Asheville Comedy Festival. He's also performed in bars and basements - empty and full - all across the DMV for years. Nathan's comedy is the perfect blend of surrealism, 1980s observations on airline food, Marxist eco-nihilism, and Tiktok dances.
Nathan dreams of the day you see him on the street and say “aren’t you that one guy from that one thing?”
DAWN SHIRK
Dawn Shirk is a stand up comedian whose storytelling style of comedy focuses on everyday themes such as therapy, in-laws, coming out, and how to get fired from a cult. Based in Greensboro, NC, where she has competed in the Ultimate Comedy Challenge and performed in the NC Comedy Festival, and a variety of shows around her home state, including Winston-Salem, Graham, and Durham. She has recently been seen at the New South Comedy Festival in Greenville, SC, the Blue Ridge Comedy Club in Bristol, TN, the Knock Knock Comedy Showcase and Lynch’s Irish Pub In Jacksonville, FL, and Funny Girl’s in Mexico City. When she is not on stage, she can be found in a high school library, peddling books and working out jokes with apathetic teens.
 PETE BERGEN
He may look and sound gruff but he is a big bear of a sweetheart. You’ll love his take on his own sordid history and observations in general. He has opened for and performed with some great folks like Patton Oswalt, Rory Scovel, Bobcat Goldthwait, Annie Lederman, David Koechner, Kelsey Cook, Annie Lederman, Alonso Bodden and more while featuring and headlining some great venues like the DC Improv (DC), Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (VA), Magooby’s Joke House (MD), Nicks Comedy Stop (Boston), Governors (NY), Church Of Satire (PA) and The Drafthouse Comedy Theater (DC). He is also in recovery and is in demand for 12 step conventions all over. You may recognize Pete from his numerous appearances on Investigation Discovery shows or from his episode on the classic Americas Most Wanted. He always plays a cop because, well, look at him. Pete can also be seen as a contributor on local panel shows “Like It Or Not” and “The Final 5”, both on Fox 5 DC, offering up humorous takes on the days events.

The annual Purcellville Wine and Food Festival returns on Saturday, July 18, in Dillon’s Woods at the historic Fireman’s Field Complex (250 S. Nursery Avenue, Purcellville). The festival will take place from 2 to 8 p.m., inviting guests to gather with family and friends for an afternoon and evening of local wine, beer, food, live music, art, and more.
This year’s event will showcase 40 vendors, including wineries, breweries, food and snack vendors, and local exhibitors. Enjoy live music performances by the Rick Reaves Band, The Darby Brothers, and the Franklin Park Big Band. The “Arts in the Garden” section, hosted by the Purcellville Arts Council, will highlight local artists who will create works of art live on-site. Additional activities include face painting and a photo stand-in booth. 
Early bird ticket pricing is available through 5 p.m. on July 17: 
• Early bird admission (ages 17 and over): $5 (+ tax) 
• Early bird drink tickets (6 oz wine or 12 oz beer): $8.50 (+ tax) 
• Early bird drink ticket package: 4 tickets for $32 (+ tax) 
• Early bird bottle of wine purchase: $35 (+ tax), available from participating wineries (bottles must be consumed on-site)
A souvenir glass will be provided with the purchase of the first drink ticket. Save time and money by purchasing your tickets in advance. 
The popular VIP experience returns for $275 (+ tax) and includes admission for six, a reserved table for six, three bottles of local wine, six souvenir glasses, six drink tickets, early entry to the festival, special commemorative gifts, and a selection of sweets and savories for the table.

Sunny@Midnight (Jeff Smith and Sherry Stewart) return to Cafe Sazon (4704 Columbia Pike) for their monthly residency this Saturday July 18th. Showtime is 7:00 pm and they will be joined by their bandmates Ron Goad (percussion), John Werntz (upright bass) and Marcy Cochran (fiddle). Acclaimed local multi-instrumentalist Jim Fowler will open the show. There is no cover charge but donations are accepted on behalf of the performers. 
Jeff Smith is a musical raconteur, whose poetic lyrics paint common experiences and filtered memories with a tender or playful brush. Singing in a honey-drenched Appalachian drawl, multi-instrumentalist Smith lays down a brew of what he calls a funky kind of country blues folk pop rock stomp.
Sherry Stewart writes songs about people, places and things that have left an impression on her. Themes often evoke nature and leave the listener with a sense of longing only heightened by her angelic voice and vocal harmonies. She accompanies herself on mandolin, guitar, and flute whether she is playing solo or with others.
