REPORTS
ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT, 2020-08140003, 6000 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:15 a.m. on August 14, police were dispatched to the report of a disorderly subject. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect allegedly entered a business and began acting erratically, attempting to take merchandise and enter the back area of the business. Arriving officers located the suspect and identified him as being involved in two prior calls for service in the area that evening. As they attempted to take him into custody, he actively resisted and bit an officer. The officer was not injured. Joseph Porchea, 33, of Decatur, Ga., was arrested and charged with Assault & Battery on Police and Drunk in Public.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2020-08160055, 5900 block of 2nd Street N. At approximately 7:16 a.m. on August 16, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that the known suspect allegedly gained entry to a residence, which he had previously been issued a banning notice for. Arriving officers established a perimeter and attempted to contact the suspect inside with negative results. While clearing the residence, the suspect was observed in an upstairs room and additional commands were issued instructing the suspect to exit the residence, which he complied with. The suspect was then taken into custody without incident. Mohamed Souidi, 27, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2020-08140126, Wilson Boulevard at N. Lynn Street. At approximately 1:37 p.m. on August 14, police were dispatched to the report of an exposure. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim observed the suspect in an alley adjacent to a business allegedly exposing himself and masturbating. Arriving officers observed the suspect exposing himself and took him into custody without incident. Edgardo Ramon, 38, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure and released on a summons.
BURGLARY, 2020-08140123, 4500 block of 26th Street N. At approximately 1:28 p.m. on August 14, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., an unknown suspect forced entry to a residence, causing damage, tampered with items and stole items of value. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2020-08140135, 4700 block of 34th Street N. At approximately 1:08 p.m. on August 14, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that between approximately 11:00 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., an unknown suspect forced entry to a residence, causing damage, and stole items of value. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
